Dr. John Lemke

Fall 2018 (107 of 113)

A World-Renowned Education

Dr. Lemke attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, the first and most respected chiropractic college in the world.

He had the great experience of attending with students from 11 different countries, and had classmates from nearly every state in the union. The challenging course load proved even more demanding than Dr. Lemke had expected. Many of his instructors from Palmer played a large part in shaping who he is as a chiropractic physician today.

A Scientific Practice Philosophy

Dr. Lemke is a chiropractor who relies on evidence-based practices. While most people associate chiropractic care with treating back or neck pain, Dr. Lemke believes that many other illnesses can benefit from this type of treatment. In fact, chiropractic care has helped his own children recover from common illnesses like the cold.
While he is a big advocate of chiropractic care, Dr. Lemke also recognizes the importance of medication in healthcare. He himself takes medication daily to control his asthma attacks, which used to occur 2-3 times per day.
Dr. Lemke and his family follow standard immunization practices and take antibiotics when necessary. He strongly believes in a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare and incorporates this into his practice.

Living a Healthy Family Life

Dr. Lemke and his wife, Neva, have three boys and five girls. They are both passionate about their community in the Quad Cities and are actively involved in it. Their children are their top priority and Dr. Lemke aims to extend the same level of care he gives to his own family, to the families in his community. When he isn’t seeing patients, he is busy coaching two basketball teams, football, and soccer. His wife is a Girl Scout troop leader and they both actively participate in church activities. Dr. Lemke is also heavily involved in basketball, both playing and coaching, and he and Neva believe in the importance of regular exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
